I am completely ignorant to the proper use of quick keys and the best strategy for using favorites lists to my advantage. Its customizable color display allows access to the information you want to see. The SDS100’s digital performance is better than any other scanner in both simulcast and weak-signal environments. There were some users that were seeing the keypad lock on the SDS100 actually functioning through the Sentinel software in the early versions. Download the file "SDS-100_V1_10_00.bin" and "SDS-100_SUB_V1._02_01.firm" and put those files on the SD card in the firmware folder. Charge at a constant 700 mA until voltage reaches 4.2V (at which point it will be about 60% charged). 2. Continue charging at a constant 4.2V until the charge voltage drops to 100 mA (at which point the battery is charged). Let mine charge all night 7 hours and green complete light was on.The firmware update for BCD436HP, BCD536HP, SDS200, and SDS100 scanners are done with the Sentinel software. I've never had the computer try to install a new driver in the many times I've disconnected the scanner and reconnected it, (except on the original install). Jun 18, 2018 · W2GLD. There's no issues I found plugging in both while charging or not. The headphone jack on the sds100 has the lowest output of any scanner I have ever had. I have had lots of scanners in my time. The old scanners worked fine with a amplified speaker plugged in the headphone jack. A better comparison would be the SDS200 vs BCD536HP or the SDS100 vs BCD436HP. With that out of the way, one major difference is the SDS100's large color display which allows for more detailed info to be displayed vs the 436HP. Another HUGE difference is the way they're powered: SDS100 via a battery pack vs ... Currently, on the SDS100 & SDS200, you can customize to show the filter selection. That works if you are picking a specific choice, such as Normal, Wide Invert, Global, etc. But if you are using Auto, the display only shows "Auto", not which choice it found was the best match. Dec 11, 2021 · The SDS100, handheld brother, has the same display format, just smaller and narrower. It also uses a battery pack instead of AA batteries. The newer SDS100/200 models are basically programmed and work the same way as the 436/536 models with a few extra features. The SDS100 is silent. When I stop the SDS100 on the exact same frequency that the TRX-1 is decoding, programmed as a DMR freq., it doesn't even make a hit on the signal bar. I can't imagine the TRX-1 is that much more sensitive on DMR than the SDS100. I soldered wires to the three pins on the USB plug first and then soldered the 3 different sets of wires to the leads. Solder the bare wires together. The white wires are not used. Location. I have had lots of scanners in my time. The old scanners worked fine with a amplified speaker plugged in the headphone jack. Check with your motherboard manufacturer or PC maker. The micro can be used to power only. The mini powers and will charge simultaneously if enabled. There's no issues I found plugging in both while charging or not. .
